Xpeng’s battery supplier EVE Energy has started building a new sodium-ion battery production hub, marking the move toward mass production of sodium battery tech. The facility — with an annual capacity of about 2 GWh — will support R&D, pilot runs, and industrial-scale manufacturing of sodium batteries.
