Every bus in Bangladesh runs with a three-man crew who live, sleep, and work 24-hour shifts together. They’re not paid a wage — they earn a cut of the takings. No passengers, no money. No money, no food.
Then bus companies release multiple buses on the same route at the same time. Whoever arrives first takes all the passengers. The rest get nothing.
So it becomes a race. A twisted version of Formula One — except it’s public roads, twenty-ton buses with bad brakes, and drivers at the end of a 24-hour shift.
The results are disastrous.
