Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, VW: Almost every major car manufacturer has now tried to build a solid-state battery. They promise ranges of over 1,000 kilometers, very short charging times, and greater safety than conventional lithium-ion batteries. Can car manufacturers finally deliver on the promises they have made in recent years? Watch this video to find out whether we will be able to buy cars with solid-state batteries as early as next year, or whether the whole thing will be delayed for another few years.
